learning from New York parks?

For instance: what might be the role of public-private partnerships and co-management arrangements? What new and relevant means of citizen participation in park stewardship could we try to incentivize? Laura Hansen’s insights about community organizing and the imperative to reach different immigrant user groups in different ways is a real puzzler–how does NPS deal with that?? what lessons reside in the doggedness of the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative? And what about dog-walkers and dog-run-advocates as the vanguard of park stewardship?!
